Behind Ethra
My name is Emanuele Franci, I'm twenty-six, and Ethra was born from two things that have always been part of me: design and perfume.
I fell for perfumery as a boy, long before it became a project. As I grew up I was drawn to the great names of artistic perfumery a world that doesn't chase mass taste, and won me over for exactly that reason. Alongside it, I studied industrial design, graduating at the Florence university in the heart of the land that would become the brand's first chapter.
When I chose to bring these two paths together, I didn't simply want to make a perfume. I wanted to build an entire world: the fragrance, the object that holds it, the symbol, the story. This is where my training as a designer became Ethra's method the same obsessive care for detail, from the glass of the bottle to the last word of a story.
And at the centre of it all, an idea I felt was rarely explored and deeply mine: the meeting of the ethereal and the tangible. Of what cannot be touched and what can be held in the hand. Ethra exists to build that bridge one chapter at a time.
THE NOSE
The hands behind the essences
A vision, to become perfume, needs a nose able to translate it. The first to give shape to Ethra's fragrances was Lorenzo Berti, a perfumer who believed in the project from the start and interpreted its soul, turning an idea into essence.
To him, and to the master perfumers who will accompany Ethra's future chapters, goes the craft of giving body to the invisible — of making the bridge between the two worlds real, drop by drop.
